HIRIE and Her New Album "Phases": An Explosion of Creativity and Renewal

After more than a decade of giving us music that moves our bodies and hearts, HIRIE, the talented Trish Jetton, is back with her most personal and powerful album to date: "Phases." Released on October 3rd via Controlled Substance Sound Labs and Easy Star Records, this album is more than a collection of songs; it's an emotional journey that captures a whole new phase in the artist's life. And, spoiler alert: it's a journey you won't want to miss!

Over the past three years, HIRIE's life has taken a radical turn. She quit drinking, became a mother, and returned to her roots growing up in Hawaii. The result? A burst of creativity that translated into songs that are not only impactful, but also exude honesty and freshness. Because if we know one thing, it's that HIRIE doesn't do things by halves. But be careful, don't think this life change led her to lock herself away in a Zen bubble. On the contrary, this period filled her with energy to continue creating music and touring stages around the world. If that isn't inspiration, I don't know what is! For this album, HIRIE once again worked with producer Danny Kalb, with whom she had previously collaborated on her acclaimed albums "Wandering Soul" and "Dreamer." According to Trish, her connection with Kalb is so fluid that they practically finish each other's sentences. "It's like we speak the same language," the singer confesses. And it really shows in the final result. Plus, his old band was also there: Chris delCamino (saxophone, flute, keyboards), Andrew McKee (trombone, percussion), Andy Flores (bass), and Blaine Dillinger (guitars), along with Matt Benoit and Daniel Rodriguez, who recently joined the band. A true musical dream team!

But that's not all. HIRIE carefully selected special collaborators to give each song a unique touch. From Josh Swain of The Movement to Karim Israel of Arise Roots, Cas Haley, Mike Love, and Inna Vision, each brought their magic to the project. "It's not just about adding names for the sake of adding them," explains HIRIE. "It's about finding the people who really fit what the songs need." And boy did he get it right. Among the album's standout tracks is "All Is OK," a collaboration with Josh Swain that addresses both artists' personal sobriety journeys. According to HIRIE, this song not only allowed them to connect as friends, but also as human beings sharing a common path. The result? A piece of music that touches your heart. Another must-listen is "For Me and You," where Mike Love lends his spiritual touch to stir the dust off your soul (HIRIE's exact words). Each song has its own character and message, but they all share one thing in common: they are authentic and deeply personal.

If you thought writing and recording an album while pregnant could be an overwhelming challenge, HIRIE would change your mind. For her, this period was an endless source of peace and inspiration. "The music flowed naturally," says the artist. And although she didn't expect it, this experience had a profound impact on her musical journey. It seems she's also good at multitasking! HIRIE doesn't just shine on stage; she also perfectly understands how to navigate today's music industry. In addition to being a singer and songwriter, she's had to become a social media expert, content creator, and even a marketing strategist. But she doesn't do it alone: she has a team that supports her every step of the way. "Phases" also marks a first-ever collaboration between two giants of American reggae: Controlled Substance Sound Labs and Easy Star Records. When two titans join forces, only something epic can result!

In short, "Phases" isn't just an album; it's a reflection of HIRIE's resilience, creativity, and personal growth. With heartfelt lyrics, carefully chosen collaborations, and impeccable production, this album promises to be a milestone in her career. So, put on your headphones, turn up the volume, and get ready to enjoy this musical journey as special as the phases of life itself. Thank you for that, HIRIE!

THE TOUR YOU CAN'T MISS!

To celebrate the release of "Phases," HIRIE will embark on a 19  tour of  USA and Hawaii during October and November. So if you have the chance to see her live, don't think twice. Because if there's one thing we know, it's that HIRIE on stage is pure energy and connection.
